I was stupid enough to believe that I was going to get a wedding proposal on Valentine's Day, but received absolutely nothing on that day. No phone call or text message or anything — talk about disappointed!

I bought my wife a big box of assorted Valentine's Day chocolates. She was very happy. But when she opened the box, there were worms in the chocolate candy - YUKE.

When I was in middle school, I had a secret admirer carnation delivered to a boy I liked. He carried it around with him from class to class until someone told him it was from me!

My then Fiancee and I went to a bed and breakfast for Valentine's Day. Just our luck, that weekend the shore was hit with a noreaster that dropped over 2 feet of snow. She missed three days work - but she married me anyway. Amor'e

Valentine's Day last year was the
absolute worst EVER. My boyfriend and I got into a bit of trouble with the
law for throwing flowers at each other during a lovers tif! How ironic,
right? I can never feel the same about Valentine's Day again. This year we
are "laying low...

So dinner is over and he says,
"I got you something" and reaches to open the trunk. I closed my
eyes and when I opened them, to my surprise I found myself holding a
Bobblehead doll. A ceramic white bear holding a red heart that said... Be
Mine. No good night smooch for him!

It was my sophomore year in
college. My fiancee, in Dallas booked a flight for me to visit as a V-Day
gift. On the 13th, he cancelled abruptly saying my flight was
"overbooked". Come to find out he was spending the day with his
new girl. I caught him red-handed the next day when I showed up unexpectedly.

My worst Valentine's Day experience
was in 2001. My date showed up at my door with half dead roses, which he took
from his mom. Then he takes me to McDonald's for dinner. After that, we went
bowling. it was by far the worst Valentine's Day EVER.

My husband is the worst Valentine's
gift giver. One year to my surprise, I found a red spider in the covers. I
hate spiders. The one he put in our bed was plastic but I didn't know that,
all I felt was something soft and about the size of an egg on my feet.

There is no worst or strange story,
unless you consider not celebrating the day at all. It has taken me almost
thirty years of being married to understand that Valentine's Day is a holiday
that women charish more.

I went to the airport to surprise
my husband, wearing a teddy and trenchcoat! His flight was 6 hours late, I
was stranded at the airport, no money, no car - this was pre-cell phone days!
When he finally arrived he was with a woman he offered to drive home due to
delayed flight. That was a uncomfortble ride!

I brought home a Valentine's Day
bouquet of flowers for my wife. Our cats ate some of the flowers and got
sick. My wife told me to never bring home flowers again. Can I get points for
trying? The road to love ain't easy.

My worst Valentine's Day was when
my boyfriend purchased fake roses and sprayed them blue because that was his
favorite color (not mine). He put them in this pretty box with red bow and I
opened them and it smell like old food.

My wife sent me roses for
Valentine's Day. Wen they came they had another man's name on the card. My
Wife was home when they arrived. When I got home, I had all kinds of
questions for her - it was ugly. But we called the florist and got it taken
care of. After that, we had a great Valentine's Day!
