FASTRACKS INSTANT GAME TAKES THE POLE FOR DELAWARE LOTTERY

DOVER, DE - Since its launch on March 26, 2001, the Delaware Lottery has sold more than $300,000 worth of FASTRACKS Instant Game tickets, posting the highest sales of any currently available game.  As of April 30, the last date for which this information is available, 24 Driver Prize Packages and one $10,000 cash prize had already been claimed.

According to Delaware State Lottery Director Wayne Lemons, the popularity of the Instant Game is a testament to the enormous popularity of NASCAR® racing.  "Our mission is to help fund the delivery of services to the people of Delaware by offering innovative and entertaining Lottery products," said Lemons.  "The FASTRACKS game certainly meets all of these objectives."

FASTRACKS features a top merchandise prize of a four-day/three-night trip for two to any official NASCAR® race during the 2001 and 2002 race seasons.  Six Race Trip prizes can be won playing the game, and one Race Trip will be awarded in a second-chance drawing to be held at Dover Downs International Speedway before the Busch race on September 22.  To enter the second-chance drawing, players must fill out the back of a non-winning FASTRACKS ticket and send it to the Lottery Office in Dover.  All FASTRACKS second-chance drawing entries must be received by August 31, 2001, at 4:30 p.m.

In addition to the Race Trip prize package, players have the chance to win four $10,000 top cash prizes, 370 Driver Prize Packages, as well as other cash prizes.   The FASTRACKS Instant Game was developed in collaboration with Dover Downs International Speedway, as well as Media Drop-In and Scientific Games, the Delaware Lottery's instant games vendor.

Since the start of operations in 1975, the Delaware Lottery has contributed more than $969 million to the state's General Fund to help finance needed state services that benefit everyone in Delaware.  The Lottery offers a variety of games including POWERBALL®, the fastest-growing multimillion-dollar jackpot game, All Cash Lotto, Rolldown®, Play 3 and Play 4,  and a variety of Instant Games.
