$458,000 IN POWERBALL® AND LOTTO PRIZES SET TO EXPIRE
DOVER, DE - An unclaimed $258,000 LOTTO
jackpot prize and two unclaimed $100,000 POWERBALL® prizes are
set to expire this month on their one-year anniversaries. The winning
POWERBALL tickets are from the August 18, 2001 and August 25, 2001
drawings, the winning LOTTO ticket is from the August 27, 2001 drawing.
Lottery records indicate the $100,000 winning ticket for the August
18 POWERBALL drawing was purchased at 7-Eleven on DuPont Highway
and Bacon Street in New Castle. Sunoco A-Plus Mini Mart in New Castle
sold the $100,000 winning ticket for the August 25 POWERBALL drawing.
Winning numbers in the August 18 drawing were 03, 14, 20, 22 and
48 for the white numbers and 17 for the red POWERBALL number. In
the August 25 drawing, winning numbers were 08, 17, 22, 42 and 47
for the white numbers and 21 for the red POWERBALL number. The $258,000
LOTTO jackpot winning ticket was bought at Shore Stop #233 on Lebanon
Road in Dover. Winning numbers for the August 27 LOTTO drawing were
03, 05, 10, 23, 28 and 33.
Lottery Officials encourage players to double-check old tickets
for the winning numbers for each of these drawings. Winning ticket
holders should fill out the back of the ticket and bring it to the
Delaware Lottery Office, McKee Business Park, 1575 McKee Road, Suite
102, Dover prior to the expiration of the prize. The Delaware Lottery
Office is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
All POWERBALL, LOTTO, PLAY 3 and PLAY 4 prizes must be claimed within
one year of the drawing date. Delaware Lottery Retailers will pay
out prizes worth $599 or less. Prizes worth $600 to $5,000 must
be claimed at any Claim Center or the Delaware Lottery Office, and
prizes worth $5,001 or more must be claimed at the Delaware Lottery
Office. Unclaimed prizes are contributed to the State's General
Fund. Players may check winning numbers at delottery.com or call
the Player Information Line at 1-800-338-6200 (in Delaware) or 1-302-736-1436
(from out of state).
