SUMMER PROMOTION WINDS UP WITH TWO $1,000 CASH WINNERS
DOVER, DE -Two lucky winners received
a $1,000 "Cash Blast" cash prize this week after participating
in the Delaware Lottery's Instant Game summer promotion. David Gale
of Wilmington, Del. and Kathy Denk of Berlin, Md. won the second-chance
drawings that completed the promotion, which featured events at
popular Delaware hot spots.
"These summer promotions do a great job of demonstrating the
entertainment value of our products," said Wayne Lemons, Delaware
State Lottery Director. "They give potential players a wonderful
opportunity to experience first-hand the fun and excitement of playing
Delaware Lottery Instant Games."
Events were held Thursdays at Back Stage Cafe in Wilmington and
Sundays at the Rusty Rudder in Dewey Beach in conjunction with local
radio stations WSTW-FM and WOSC-FM. From July 7 through August 29,
on-air talent from each station gave away CASH BLAST Instant Game
tickets and "Go Scratch" t-shirts to participants who
provided correct answers to Lottery trivia questions. Participants
could win $1,000 in cash instantly by scratching off the CASH BLAST
Instant Game tickets. Non-winning tickets collected at each event
were entered in each station's second-chance drawing for a $1,000
"Cash Blast" cash prize.
Since the start of operations in 1975, the Delaware Lottery has
contributed more than $1.4 billion to the state's General Fund to
help finance needed state services that benefit everyone in Delaware.
The Lottery offers a variety of games: POWERBALL®, LOTTO, PLAY
3, PLAY 4, and assorted Instant Games. More information is available
