SEVENTH $100,000 POWERBALL PRIZE BRINGS 2003
DRAWING GAME WINNINGS TO $32 MILLION
DOVER, DE -- On Tuesday August
5, a woman from Brooklyn, NY claimed her prize and became
the Delaware Lottery's seventh $100,000 POWERBALL winner this
year. This prize brings the Lottery's total 2003 winnings
for its drawing games-POWERBALL, LOTTO and PLAY 3/PLAY 4-to
$32 million.
The seven 2003 $100,000 POWERBALL winners are, in order of
drawing date: August 2, the Brooklyn, NY woman who bought
her ticket at Stanton Exxon; July 5, a Fort Washington, Md.
woman who bought her ticket at Pearson's Corner Supermarket;
May 31, a Dover, Del., man who's ticket came from Lepor's
Liquors in Dover; May 10, a Bear, Del., man who bought his
ticket at the Shell Food Mart in Newark; March 12, a West
Grove, Pa., man who bought his ticket at the Shoprite on Rocky
Run Parkway in Wilmington; March 5, a Newark woman who bought
her ticket at the News Basket in Bear; January 11, a Wilmington
man whose ticket came from the Stanton Discount Pharmacy.
Two other big 2003 winners got their winnings playing LOTTO.
A husband and wife from Wilmington won $445,000 in the April
14 drawing with a ticket they purchased from the Acme in the
Pike Creek Shopping Center and a Selbyville woman won $820,000
in the June 11 drawing with a ticket she bought at Royal Farms
in Fenwick.
