"DUPONT MONSTER BRIDGE RACE WEEKEND" AT DOVER INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY IS GRAND PRIZE IN 1ST EVER "ALL GAMES" 2ND CHANCE DRAWING

DOVER, DE --As part of its sponsorship of the 2004 races at Dover International Speedway, the Delaware Lottery is offering players the chance to win two seats in the brand new DuPont Monster Bridge for all three NASCAR races September 24-26 by sending in any non-winning Delaware Lottery game ticket.

Deputy Director, Marketing, Brian Peters said that the races at Dover International Speedway are an enormous draw. "We're excited to be a part of one of the largest events in the state, and we believe our players will be equally excited to have a chance to win tickets to the races-especially for seats in the new DuPont Monster Bridge," he said.

Peters also noted that for the first time, the Lottery is conducting a second-chance drawing where players can send in any non-winning ticket to win. "We expect a huge response to this special "all games" second-chance drawing," he said.

Starting August 2 and running through August 27, players can send in non-winning tickets from any Delaware Lottery game-POWERBALL®, POWERBALL® with Power Play®, LOTTO, PLAY 3, PLAY 4 or any Instant Game-for a chance to win the top prize.

Twenty-four First Prize winners will be drawn from the entries received. First Prize winners receive two mid-level Grandstand seats at the MBNA America 400 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series Race on September 26 and admission for two to the Monster Mile Club, a pre-race all-inclusive hospitality package that includes a trackside tour.

All First Prize winners automatically will be entered into the drawing for the "DuPont Monster Bridge Race Weekend" Grand Prize. The Grand Prize package includes both DuPont Monster Bridge and grandstand seating for two at all three September NASCAR races: the September 24 MBNA America 150 Busch North Series, the September 25 Stacker 2 Hundred Presented by YJ Stinger Busch Series, and the September 26 MBNA America 400 NEXTEL Cup Series. It also includes DuPont Monster Bridge hospitality for two for all three races and Monster Mile Club hospitality for two on September 26.

Three additional First Prize winners will be selected to win pre-race pit credentials in addition to their First Prize race package.

The Lottery also is running a special drawing for members of its online Players Club in which an additional First Prize package will be awarded. To join the Players Club and be eligible for the drawing, players can click on "Players Club" on the Delaware Lottery's home page at delottery.com.

The DuPont Monster Bridge is a glass-enclosed seating structure that extends over the track at Dover International Speedway, offering an unprecedented view of NASCAR racing action. The first-of-its-kind innovation creates "The Most Exciting Seat in Sports," placing race fans 29 feet above the fast-paced action below. Each seat provides audio access to NASCAR race coverage on television and radio, along with access to the major drivers' race team communications. Flat-screen televisions, a climate-controlled interior, wall-to-wall carpet and a full-service refreshment bar add to the DuPont Monster Bridge experience.

To enter the second-chance drawing, players must completely fill in a non-winning Delaware Lottery game ticket and send it to DIS Race, PO Box 319, Cheswold, DE 19936 for receipt by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, August 27, 2004.

Since the start of operations in 1975, the Delaware Lottery has contributed more than $1.8 billion to the state's General Fund to help finance needed state services that benefit everyone in Delaware. The Lottery offers a variety of games: POWERBALL, LOTTO, PLAY 3, PLAY 4, and assorted Instant Games. More information is available at delottery.com.
