NEW
PAC-MAN CASH LOTTERY GAME TO MAKE DEBUT IN DELAWARE
DOVER, DE -- In anticipation of
celebrating the 25th anniversary of the video game that changed
an entire industry in the 1980s, the Delaware Lottery will
be the first lottery in the world to debut the new PAC-MAN
Cash $3 Instant Game on December 6, 2004.
"The PAC-MAN game concepts presented in focus group testing
did extremely well," said Brian Peters, deputy director
of sales and marketing for the Delaware Lottery. "We
believe the universal familiarity and affection consumers
have for the PAC-MAN brand will ignite the fascination of
all our lottery scratch game players," Peters said.
The PAC-MAN $3 Cash game will feature a unique maze-type play
style that replicates the video game play action consumers
have enjoyed for more than two decades. The Instant Game will
feature a top cash prize of $3,000, a three-in-one video arcade
machine featuring classic PAC-MAN®, Ms. PAC-MAN®,
GALAGA®, and 64 PAC-MAN® merchandise prize packs.
The arcade machine and prize packs will be awarded in a PAC-MAN
Cash second-chance drawing. To enter the second-chance drawing,
players must complete all the information on the back of a
non-winning PAC-MAN Cash Instant Game ticket and send it to
the Lottery Office in Dover before July 1, 2005.
Peters added that Delaware Lottery consumers enjoy playing
licensed games, given the recent Instant Game successes like
TABASCO®, HARLEY-DAVIDSON® and WHEEL OF FORTUNE®.
The PAC-MAN Cash game is licensed by MDI Entertainment, a
wholly owned subsidiary of Scientific Games that is the exclusive
provider of PAC-MAN lottery licenses in the United States
and Canada.
Since the start of operations in 1975, the Delaware Lottery
has contributed more than
$1.8 billion to the state's General Fund to help finance needed
state services that benefit everyone in Delaware. The Lottery
offers a variety of games: POWERBALL®, LOTTO, PLAY 3,
PLAY 4, and assorted Instant Games.
