SMYRNA WOMAN WINS $82,000
WITH MULTI-WIN LOTTO

Dover, DE -- A 74-year old Smyrna woman claimed the $82,000 MULTI-WIN LOTTO jackpot from the Wednesday, May 4, 2005, drawing on Friday, May 6, at the Delaware Lottery Office in Dover. She is the third jackpot winner since the game started in January. The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, was awarded a check for $61,516.50 which represents her $82,022 prize minus federal taxes.

The central Delaware native purchased her Quick Pick MULTI-WIN LOTTO ticket at Smyrna Liquors in Smyrna. The winner was very surprised when she checked her numbers in the newspaper to find that she was the big winner. "The first person I told was my daughter-I couldn't believe it," said the excited mother of three. She told Lottery Officials she plays POWERBALL® and MULTI-WIN LOTTO often, but this was her first win.

To date, the MULTI-WIN LOTTO game has had an overall total of 315,854 winners since the January 2005 launch. "Many people have said that they have had their first, second and third Lottery wins with the new MULTI-WIN LOTTO game," said Brian Peters, Deputy Director of Sales and Marketing for the Delaware Lottery.

The MULTI-WIN LOTTO game offers players a unique play style. Players now have two ways to win within one game. A base win allows players to match three, four, five or a jackpot match of six numbers across any one line. The multi-hand win gives players the opportunity to match numbers between all three lines per game. The most recent MULTI-WIN LOTTO jackpot winner won both ways on one ticket by matching six numbers across one line for the jackpot win and eight numbers between all three lines for $20. She also won a base prize of $2 on a separate game by matching three numbers straight across one line.
