6, 2005 POWERBALL® drawing. The retired widower had his
winning ticket validated this morning at the Delaware Lottery
Office in Dover. The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous,
was awarded a check for $75,000 which represents his $100,000
prize minus federal taxes.
The winner purchased his ticket, generated by Quick Pick,
from Books and Tobacco, Inc. on Kirkwood Highway in Wilmington.

to Books and Tobacco, Inc. to purchase additional lottery
tickets and checked his ticket for the August 6th drawing
after seeing a sign in the store announcing their winning
ticket sale. When Lottery Officials asked his plans for the
winnings, the winner replied that he plans to save the money
until he needs it.
