WHEEL OF FORTUNE® SECOND CHANCE DRAWING WINNERS
TO TRY THEIR LUCK IN HOLLYWOOD

Dover, DE -- The Delaware Lottery is sending two Wheel of Fortune second chance drawing winners to Hollywood to try their luck at spinning the Wheel for $1 Million.  52-year-old Dianna D., of Millsboro and 54-year-old Donna W., of New Castle, were randomly selected to receive a trip to Hollywood, California, with the chance to play in an exclusive non-broadcast, lottery players-only Wheel of Fortune game hosted by Pat Sajak and Vanna White.

“It only takes one ticket to win and sometimes even a second chance can be a lucky one,” said Vernon Kirk, Director of the Delaware Lottery.  “The Delaware Lottery is happy to provide additional opportunities for players to become winners.  We congratulate Dianna and Donna on their Hollywood trips and wish them the best of luck.”

Scratch Once, Try Twice.

“I never thought I would be going to California!” said Donna, who purchased her Wheel of Fortune instant ticket at Books & Tobacco, Inc. on Kirkwood Highway in Wilmington. When she did not win an instant prize, Donna decided to fill out the back and enter her ticket in the second chance drawing.

Dianna said she received her Wheel of Fortune instant tickets as a present from her fiancé on Christmas Day.  Her fiancé insisted she try her luck once more by mailing in her non-winning tickets for the second chance drawing.

“My fiancé looked me right in the eye and told me to fill out the back, saying, “You’re going to Hollywood,” said Dianna.

Wheel of Fortune Hollywood Trip

Only two Wheel of Fortune Hollywood Trips are awarded through the Delaware Lottery.  As part of their Wheel of Fortune prize experience, Dianna and Donna along with three guests will receive round-trip airfare and a five-day, four-night stay in Hollywood beginning Tuesday, April 24 through Saturday, April 28, 2012. Each prizewinner will also receive $1,000 spending money.

Equally overjoyed about her personal win, lucky trip recipient Donna says her sister, her son, and his girlfriend will be accompanying her to Hollywood.  “My sister didn’t believe me,” said Donna.  “I’ve won smaller cash prizes, like $40 or $50 (playing instant games), but nothing like this.”

3 Ways to Win a Million

While in California, Dianna and Donna will meet up with second chance winners from across the country.  They will be escorted to the historic Sony Pictures Studios lot in Culver City to spin the wheel for a guaranteed cash prize between $300 and $10,000.  Second chance drawing winners like Dianna and Donna could also be chosen at random to play in the non-broadcast, lottery players-only Wheel of Fortune game for the chance to win up to $1 Million.

Additionally, if randomly selected for the Million Dollar Bonus Wheel Spin-Off, Dianna and Donna could play for cash prizes between $5,000 and $1 Million.

The Delaware Lottery is still accepting non-winning Wheel of Fortune instant tickets for a Multi-State Bonus drawing through August 3.  A preliminary second-chance drawing will be held on August 9 for two eligible winners to be selected and entered into the Multi-State Bonus drawing for a chance to win a cash prize of up to $1 Million.  The final Multi-State Bonus Drawing will include all eligible entries from all participating lotteries selected in the preliminary second chance drawing and will be held on or about September 17, 2012.  For a complete list of rules information, players are encouraged to visit: www.delottery.com.
