The Delaware Lottery Launches Sports Lottery in 31 Retail Locations Dover, DE --The Delaware Lottery announced today that Sports Lottery wagering is available to adults 21 and older in 31 retail locations in Delaware. In addition to the existing Sportsbook locations at each of Delaware’s three racetrack casinos, Pro Football parlay card and Championship Game futures wagering are now available at licensed Delaware Sports Lottery retailers, including select restaurants, pubs, night clubs and existing Lottery agents throughout the state. To remain competitive in the face of increased gaming opportunities in neighboring states, House Bill 333 – the Delaware Gaming Competitiveness Act of 2012 – was signed into law by Governor Jack Markell on June 28. The bill allows the Lottery to issue Sports Lottery and Keno retailer licenses to Delaware businesses operating outside of the state’s racetrack casinos. In addition, the new law authorizes the Lottery to distribute its existing ticket games on-line and paves the way for the State Office to develop and oversee systems and programs designed to sell Video Lottery, Table Games, and new offerings on the Internet. “This is an exciting time in the history of the Delaware Lottery and for its players,” said Vernon Kirk, Director of the Delaware Lottery. “As players are becoming increasingly more mobile, interactive and tech savvy, the Lottery must continually look for ways to enhance and provide new, innovative and secure Lottery products with alternative ways to play them. Opening up Sports Lottery to additional retail and lifestyle venues gives players more options. It also gives the Lottery a more competitive edge by adapting and remaining relevant in a modern retail world.” Where to Play Preseason Early Bird Parlay Card About the Delaware Lottery: Winner Privacy is our Policy. |
