NEW LOTTERY GAME KENO TO MAKE DELAWARE DEBUT
Exciting, Fast-Paced Bingo Game To Be Sold At More Than 70 New And Existing
Retail Locations Throughout the State

Dover, DE -- The Delaware Lottery is pleased to announce that Keno, a fun, fast-paced bingo, style game is making its debut in Delaware and will be ready for play in the First State. Starting January 22, the new Lottery game will be available for play to those 18 years of age and older at more than 70 new and existing retail locations throughout Delaware, which include restaurants, pubs, coffee shops, gas stations, books and news retailers, and convenience stores.

The addition of Keno to the Delaware Lottery’s product mix follows after the expansion of the Sports Lottery licensed retail network. In August 2012, just weeks after House Bill 333 was signed into law, the Delaware Lottery added 31 new Sports Lottery retail locations throughout the state. The bill, also known as the Delaware Gaming Competitiveness Act of 2012, allowed the Lottery to issue both Sports Lottery and Keno retailer licenses to Delaware businesses operating outside of the state’s racinos. Since the expansion of Sports Lottery, Keno is the Lottery’s latest venture and part of its ongoing commitment to bring new styles of play and entertainment to adults who live in and visit Delaware.

“The Delaware Lottery is excited to bring Keno to our state, giving our players a chance to play the new game and win prizes at many of their favorite social gathering places,” said Lottery Director Vernon Kirk. “The introduction of Keno into new retail locations, such as restaurants and pubs, creates another win-win relationship between the Lottery and the Delaware business community. Our new licensing partnerships allow us to make our products available to new customers in new locations, while our entertaining games and promotional programs will increase customer traffic and retail sales in these locations.  As a result, we expect increased revenue to the State of Delaware, which ultimately serves the mission of the Lottery Office as a Division of the Delaware Department of Finance.”

In addition to new business opportunities and supporting the state’s General Fund, Keno also presents the opportunity for the Lottery to remain competitive in the face of increased gaming opportunities and other states taking advantage of advanced technology and alternative gaming products. Currently, 13 State Lotteries sell Keno including neighboring Lotteries Maryland and Washington, D.C. On January 22nd, Delaware will officially become the 14th State Lottery to offer Keno.

Where To Play
Starting January 22, Delawareans will have the opportunity to play Keno at 70-plus Delaware Lottery Keno Retail locations. The full list of Keno Retailers is included, and can also be found by visiting www.delottery.com/keno or the Delaware Lottery’s mobile app, m.delottery.com.

Drawings take place daily every four minutes from 6:04 AM to 12:04 AM.

How To Play: Fun on the Spot
Keno is a simple and quick game that allows players to choose how many numbers to play and how much to wager (from $1 to $20). Using a field of numbers from 1 to 80, players can choose up to 10 numbers or “spots” to play in that field. The Lottery’s computer continuously generates random sets of 20 numbers that are then displayed on the Keno monitor. There are a variety of ways to win based on matching some, all, or in some cases, none of the numbers.

An optional bonus feature, Keno Bonus, is available that gives players the chance to multiply their winnings up to 10 times the original amount.

Players can win up to $100,000 per Keno drawing and Keno Bonus gives players the chance to win up to $1 million per drawing. For more information on how to play Keno, visit: www.delottery.com/keno.
