Pennsylvania Man Wins $12,500 after Playing Delaware Keno®(DOVER, DE) — Kyle Groff, a 31-year-old underwriter from Marietta, Pennsylvania, won $12,500 after playing Keno® at Nicola Pizza in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, on August 20, 2015. This is the Delaware Lottery’s largest Keno® win to date. Groff told Lottery officials that he wasn’t planning on playing the Lottery that day, but is glad he did. “I don’t play the Lottery very often, but my mother-in-law wanted to play so I decided to join her,” said Groff. The first-time Lottery winner played five games of Keno® and won on his last game. Groff used birthdates and lucky numbers to secure his winning. “I was in complete shock that I won. I had to triple check the screen to make sure I wasn’t seeing things,” said Groff. He told Lottery officials that he and his wife just celebrated their wedding anniversary and plan to put the money towards a down payment on a house. Accompanied by his wife and two-year-old daughter, Groff redeemed his prize on September 22, 2015, at Delaware Lottery headquarters in Dover.
